Alexandria S. Fetterolf, 27, of Ridge Road in Newton Falls, was arraigned Tuesday in Warren Municipal Court on a felony charge of failure to comply with the order of a police officer after leading police on a 26-minute chase covering 19 miles Monday afternoon.
A not-guilty plea was entered for her, and she was ordered held in the Trumbull County Jail without eligibility to make bond. She’s scheduled for a preliminary hearing at 10:15 a.m. June 11.
A Warren police report says a Warren officer responded to the Giant Eagle parking lot on Mahoning Avenue Northwest at 4:27 p.m. for a call that someone had overdosed on drugs in a vehicle.
When the officer arrived, people were waving at the officer near a silver vehicle. But when the officer got there, Fetterolf started backing up toward him.
She then pulled forward at about 5 miles per hour, then stopped at the red light at Mahoning. The officer got out of his cruiser and saw her starting to ease forward, so he ordered her to stop, but she continued north on Mahoning, the officer said.
Fetterolf then headed north through Warren and Champion with the officer behind her using lights and siren. She went left of center multiple times and went through red lights, nearly striking other cars.
A Champion officer and the Ohio State Highway Patrol began to assist at that point, and the Warren officer ended his pursuit at his supervisor’s direction.
The chase re-entered Warren at Risher Road, and Warren police picked up the chase again. It ended on Mistletoe Road, just off North Road.
Fetterolf has been booked into the county jail 12 times since July 2011 on charges including theft, drug abuse, drug possession and possession of drug-abuse instruments.
