Struthers woman arrested in Boardman on burglary charge

BOARDMAN — A Struthers woman faces a felony burglary charge after township police say she caused damage to an apartment door belonging to the father of her child.

Octavia Mayhew, 27, of Elm Street, was arrested Tuesday. She is charged with burglary, criminal damage and criminal trespass.

The victim told police that Mayhew came to his Wolosyn Circle apartment May 4, where she reportedly punched and kicked a hole into the door. She had already been issued a criminal trespass warning following a December 2014 arrest for domestic violence and aggravated trespass, according to a police report and court records.

Mayhew is scheduled to be in Mahoning County Area Court here July 7 for a preliminary hearing.
