Campbell police still seeking man accused of assault, rape


CAMPBELL — Police are searching for a man accused of felonious assault, kidnapping, and raping a woman Tuesday night.

According to a police report, the 30-year-old victim was found with various restraints at a home on Courtland Avenue.

The victim informed police that Elijah Lashley Sr., 33, of Campbell allegedly choked her until she was no longer conscious at a different residence. She found herself restrained to a bed. She said Lashley repeatedly raped throughout the night, and threaten to kill her and burn the house down.

He then allegedly left in a gray 2001 Honda Odyssey minivan with license plate number 844YMR.

The victim was transported to St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital.

Lashley is described as an African American, is 4-foot-10-inches tall, and weighs 180 pounds.
