YSU trustees committee approves $177M budget for FY 2016

YOUNGSTOWN — A Youngstown State University trustees committee approved the university's $177 million operating budget for fiscal year 2016. The budget amounts to a $5.8 million increase from last year's spending plan.

YSU's general fund deficit decreases from $10.3 million last year to about $3.1 million. It involves no tuition increase for in-state undergraduate tuition and a $3.5 million increase in state money.
