Youngstown man faces charges after arrest in Boardman

BOARDMAN — A Youngstown man faces felony robbery and receiving stolen property charges after a victim reportedly caught the suspect hiding in his vehicle and then held the suspect at the scene until police arrived.

The victim reportedly caught Frank Vetrano, 27, hiding in his truck on Schenley Avenue late Monday, and detained him with a neighbor’s help.

Police found Vetrano holding a “large quantity” of loose change and discovered the vehicle had been ransacked. Vetrano also reportedly had two debit cards belonging to another victim in the area.

Police also arrested Laura Daviduk, 23, of Youngstown, who was with Vetrano and then fled the scene, on a receiving stolen property charge.

Vetrano admitted to police he was entering random vehicles on the street with Daviduk’s help, according to a police report.
