WARREN

The police department’s Street Crimes Unit served a search warrant on the house at 337 Porter St. on Monday, arresting a man and woman who have been under investigation for close to two years.

Markeisha R. Dunkerton, 27, and Edwin Salguero, 33, were arrested on drug-dealing-related secret indictments dating to August 2013 and March 2014, respectively, according to the Warren Police Department and records from Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.

The indictments came from a search warrant served at the residence in March 2014. But the Street Crimes Unit also will charge Dunkerton and Salguero with additional drug-related offenses based on items seized Monday, police said.

They recovered suspected crack cocaine, ammunition, about $3,600 in cash and four surveillance cameras.

Three children under age 10 were in the apartment when the search warrant was executed, police said.

The Warren Health Department was called to the residence because of the home’s condition, and the health department has condemned the residence, police said.

Dunkerton’s and Alguero’s indictments are for three counts each of cocaine trafficking.
