Radiology gold seal
BOARDMAN
Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley has earned the American College of Radiology’s gold seal of accreditation in ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), nuclear medicine and MRI scanning services.
The three-year term of accreditation was awarded as the result of a recent review by ACR, and covers all the radiology modalities it provides and that ACR accredits.
The hospital’s Akron and Boardman campuses received ACR’s distinguished “Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence” designation for its radiology services earlier this year.
“ACR accreditation validates the high standards we set to achieve in patient care, patient and staff safety, and the training and use of the highest quality diagnostic tools and equipment. It’s an honor to offer these radiology services for families in and around the Mahoning Valley,” said Sandra Scott, radiology manager at Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley.
