Benefit run/walk scheduled June 14

GIRARD

Along with Vertical Runner of McDonald, Big Brothers Big Sisters plans to sponsor a 5K run/1 mile walk June 14.

The race will begin and end at Prospect Elementary, 700 E. Prospect St.

Registration costs $25 in advance and $30 the day of the race.

The course is a combination of residential streets through Girard and a section of the cross-country trails through Liberty Park.

Snacks, refreshments and an award ceremony will follow the race.

Packet pick-up is at Vertical Runner, 241 E. Marshall Road, McDonald, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. June 12 and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 13.

All Big Brothers Big Sisters proceeds from this event will directly benefit children in Trumbull and Mahoning Counties.
