AUCTIONS
Canfield Republican Women’s Club is sponsoring a quarter auction Thursday at Drake’s Landing, 2177 Western Reserve Road, Canfield. Hors d’oeuvres and a wine taste will start at 6 p.m., and the auction will begin at 7. Doors will be open at 5:30. Take quarters or buy them at the auction. The cost is $25 and includes a auction paddle. Featured will be patriotic items, wine baskets, antiques and more. There also will be a 50-50 raffle and a handgun raffle. BINGO/Card PARTIES
St. Jude Church, 180 Seventh St., Columbiana, will host Super Bingo Sunday on Sunday. Doors will open at 1 p.m. for lunch and early seating. Games will begin at 2:30. The $25 donation entitles the player to free daubers, coffee and pop for the day, all cards for all games (specials are sold separately) and a chance to win $3,400 in cash prizes, including a $1,000 guaranteed coverall. Other features are a lunch counter, bake sale and goodies sale.
FUNDRAISERS
Burton-Middlefield Rotary is sponsoring an escorted Motorcycle Run at 10 a.m. June 28 at the Geauga County Fairgrounds. The “Rotary Ride” will be led by Geauga County Sheriff Dan McClelland, who will take the participants on a 55-mile ride through Geauga County. The cost is $25 per motorcycle, which includes a rider for free. The ride will benefit the Burton-Middlefield Rotary Veterans Housing and Assistance Fund. Participants can register or pay online at www.bmrmotorcyclerun.com. Registration the day of the ride will begin at 8 a.m.
RAFFLES
Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4490 Norquest Blvd., Austintown, will sponsor a gift card raffle during its annual festival Wednesday through Sunday. Raffle tickets will be sold near the rectory from 6 p.m. to close each evening. Drawings will take place Sunday before the main raffle. Also, a rummage sale will take place in the school building during all hours of the festival.

Helping Hands Closet at Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, has new and gently used clothes for the entire family. Just in for women are sizes 3x, 4x and 5x. Hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday and Saturday.
Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, 626 Wick Ave., Youngstown, is hosting a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
TRIPS
Niles Chapter of the American Sewing Guild is sponsoring a day bus trip to Ohio Amish country on June 24. It will include dinner at the Amish Door. There will be pickups at 7 a.m. at Niles Kmart and 7:30 at Austintown Plaza. The prepaid reservation deadline is June 14. The cost is $45 for members and $50 for nonmembers. Trumbull County Travel Club has planned a two-day trip to Lancaster, Pa., June 9 and 10 and a shopping trip July 23 to Canal Fulton, which will include a canal boat ride, glass production studio and dairy. Aug. 15 will be a dinner and wine taste on the way to a theater production at Rabbit Run. An Oct. 20-24 motor coach trip to Williamsburg, Va., and Washington, D.C., is in place and filling quickly. The club will travel to Hawaii with a stop in San Diego in 2016. An informational meeting will take place June 18 for the Williamsburg/Washington trip and the Hawaii vacation.
