Pair sentenced to 6 years for home invasion

YOUNGSTOWN — Two home invaders are going to prison for six years.

Dwaylyn Nadal, 29, of Youngstown and Derek Royal, of Campbell, 24, were sentenced this morning by Judge Maureen A. Sweeney of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.

The duo pleaded guilty last week to aggravated burglary and aggravated robbery after being accused of forcing their way into a residence in the 100 block of South Schenley Avenue on the city’s West Side at 1:10 a.m. last Aug. 8.

Prosecutors recommended six-year prison terms for the defendants.
