Boy, 7, injured in Campbell shooting incident
CAMPBELL — Police are investigating a shooting that injured a 7-year-old boy Sunday morning.
According to a police report, the boy's uncle placed his firearm on a chair in his father's home on Penhale Avenue. The uncle and his father were working in the garden when they heard a loud bang. They found the juvenile on the back porch bleeding.
The uncle drove the child to the St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
Police said the boy is in stable condition, and that no charges have been filed yet.
The uncle has an active carry and conceal permit that expires in 2019.
