16-year-old faces felony charges after Boardman burglary

BOARDMAN — A 16-year-old Youngstown boy faces felony charges after he reportedly burglarized a Devonshire Drive residence.

Treyvonne Edwards, of Erie Street, is charged with aggravated burglary, receiving stolen property and obstructing official business, all of which are felonies. He also was cited for underage possession of tobacco and curfew violation.

The charges stem from an incident early Saturday in which a victim reported coming home to a burglary in progress. Edwards was being held at gunpoint by a retired law enforcement official who lives in the apartment building.

The victim told police that she observed two to three men taking items from her apartment. Police are looking for the other suspects.

Edwards was taken to the county juvenile justice center.
