Warrant issued for father of missing Warren teen
WARREN — A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Jonathan Owens, 33, of Southwest Boulevard Southwest, father of a missing teen, who police said threatened a female with a gun Wednesday.
A Ward Street Northwest woman, 22, told police Owens, who she did not know, approached her at 10:30 p.m. at Surfwood Circle and Deerfield Avenue Southwest.
She was on the hood of a car with her daughter, 3, and Owens started yelling, then pulled out a handgun and fired it near her, then placed it at her head and said, “You had better find my daughter.” He then left in a gray Honda 2-door car.
Owens is the father of Alesha Bell, 18, of Southwest Boulevard, who was reported missing by her mother July 23.
Warren police issued a missing persons bulletin for her earlier this week, and she has not been found.
Another woman with the victim took the victim’s 3-year-old and ran away with her just prior to the shot being fired, the victim said.
The victim said she is friends with Bell, but she doesn’t know where Bell is.
Police issued a warrant for felonious assault on Owens Thursday.
