UPDATE | One dead in Ohio Turnpike crash in Austintown

AUSTINTOWN — The Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating a fatal accident on the Ohio Turnpike between Meander and Market Street exits interchanges that occurred this afternoon.

The accident shortly happened before 3 p.m.

Authorities said it was six-vehicle accident including a tractor-trailer. There were multiple injuries. As of 8:15 p.m., there was no identification for the person who died.

The accident closed the turnpike lanes for several hours, but as of early this evening, all lanes had been reopened.
