v Greater Youngstown Italian Fest, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.: The giant street festival in downtown Youngstown is back ($4). The Miss Italian Fest Pageant will begin at 6 p.m. in the Roma Tent on West Federal Street; youngstownitalianfest.org.

“The Descendants” (8 p.m., Disney Channel): In the new live-action TV film “The Descendants,” the teen sons and daughters of Disney’s most infamous villains struggle with the challenges of living up to parental and peer pressures while attending prep school. Will they turn to the dark side or not?
“Cold Justice” (8 p.m., TNT): A new season begins.
“Cold Justice: SEX CRIMES” (9 p.m., TNT): This “Cold Justice” spinoff premieres.

MV Chorale sets Aug. 9 concert
POLAND
Mahoning Valley Chorale, directed by Kris Harper, will present its annual summer concert, “In the Good Old Summertime,” at 2 p.m. Aug. 9 at Prince of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2985 Center Road (U.S. route 224).
The concert will feature music celebrating the relaxing days of summer. Selections include songs by Stephen Foster, light jazz and patriotic selections.
Featured soloists include Warren native Alexis Musgrove, a recent graduate in voice performance from Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pa., and Anthony Humphrey, a New Castle, Pa., native, a senior vocal music education major at Dana School of Music, Youngstown State University.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by calling 330-707-2144, from chorale members or at the door. The ticket price includes a root-beer float party after the concert.
