Man robbed, shot was delivering pizza to vacant Ohio address


COLUMBUS (AP) — Police in central Ohio say a pizza-delivery driver died after being robbed and shot while taking an order to a property that turned out to be vacant.

Columbus police found the 59-year-old man Thursday night while responding to a report of a traffic accident. Police say it appears he fled in his vehicle after being robbed and shot but then crashed in an intersection in the southeast suburbs.

Responding officers discovered the driver that been critically hurt by a gunshot. He died at a hospital. Police identified him as James Flannery.

WCMH-TV reports investigators suspect he was robbed by more than one person and say whoever attacked him got a small amount of cash and two pizzas.
