Jones gets 5 years after skipping out on 2014 sentencing

YOUNGSTOWN — Yaumbrail Jones, 21, who was arrested on a warrant Monday because he skipped sentencing last June in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court, was sentenced to five years in prison today by Judge Shirley Christian.

Jones was charged with pistol whipping a man in 2013. He pleaded guilty to the charge in May of 2014 but skipped out on his sentencing.

Jones was found by police investigating gunfire on the East Side early Monday morning.
