HUBBARD

A pretrial hearing for Jeramey Norton, 20, of Hubbard, charged with domestic violence, burglary, assault, criminal damaging and aggravated menacing, has been set for Thursday, in Girard Municipal Court.

Police arrested Norton on Sunday. According to a police report, Norton’s girlfriend went to her mother’s Princeton Avenue residence to avoid a fight with Norton, but that Norton followed her there.

The woman told police she and her friend kicked Norton out of the house and locked the door once he became physical. The woman, her mother and her friend told police Norton began smashing windows in an attempt to get into the house and that he threatened to kill his girlfriend and her daughter.

Police arrived on the scene after a call from a neighbor about screaming coming from the house. They handcuffed Norton while he continued to scream threats against his girlfriend, police said.

Police said Norton had alcohol on his breath, and the three women appeared to have injuries. One woman had a bruised forehead and a apparent neck injury, the report states.

Norton entered not-guilty pleas to all the charges at his arraignment Monday in Girard Municipal Court.
