The Austintown library let it all go at a special themed party to celebrate summer with the popular movie “Frozen.”

Librarians Jen Kuczek and Ashley Potopovich hosted the party, making sure everyone got the most out of the various activities that included crafts, games, pictures, treats and more.

The two dedicated much of their time to refilling refreshments and materials for the interactive activities and crafts.

Potopovich said she was ecstatic about the huge, successful turnout.

“I think there are at least 100 people here,” Potopovich said.

Many parents and young girls came dressed up as characters or with “Frozen” T-shirts for the festivities.

Lydia Andres and her daughter, Emily, picked up a pack of snacks on the way in, containing themed treats.

Emily Andres said she enjoyed making a snowman out of a few marshmallows found in her baggie.

Her mother, Lydia Andres, said she appreciated the incorporation of learning elements into the event.

“It’s cool how they tied in science with the displays and activities,” Lydia Andres said. “It’s nice that everything is interactive.”

Kristin Woods, mother of two children waiting in line to make “Frozen”-themed crafts, said she liked being able to come out to events like these and seeing so many other people as well.

“It’s great getting everyone out to one big party,” Woods said.
