Removal of church sign shows loss of free speech

The recent article in The Vindicator, “Church’s sign stirs emotional response,” that reported on some criticism of a local church’s sign promoting Adam and Eve – not “Adam and Steve” – just shows that freedom of speech is no longer acceptable in America.

The church is not to judge those outside the church and should not hate homosexuals but certainly doesn’t have to accept their lifestyle as Christian. The Scriptures clearly say that we shouldn’t be deceived that the wicked will never inherit the kingdom of God. Neither the sexually immoral, idolators, adulterers, male prostitutes, homosexual offenders, thieves, the greedy, drunkards, slanderers or swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

It then goes on to say that was what some of them were but they were washed, sanctified and justified in the name of the Lord (1st Corinthians 6:0-11).

No one is born as any of these things, and they make choices to do these things because they choose to and not because God made them that way. I have seen many of these individuals converted to Christ and changed by the power of God. Those who don’t change just choose to walk in darkness and don’t want to believe or obey what God says in His word as truth.

America is not a Christian country and never has been. They enslaved Africans, took the land away from the Indians, took land away from the Mexicans and have done many other ungodly things as well.

I love America just as I love my family, but that doesn’t mean that I agree with everything that is done here any more than we agree with everything our loved ones do and say.
