Power restored to several thousand after short outage

MERCER

About 7,500 Penn Power customers lost power in Mercer County for just nine minutes.

Power has been restored to those customers, a FirstEnergy spokesman said, but workers are still fixing a transmission line.

A line fire caused the company to have to take down the transmission line to make repairs.

The power went out at about 11:49 a.m. and was back on at 11:58 a.m.
