Niles Fire Department to get $400K from feds

NILES — U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan of Howland, D-13th, will join Niles fire Chief David Danielson on Friday to announce a $400,000 federal grant for the department for vehicle acquisition.

The grant comes to Niles through a Round 9 Department of Homeland Security Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program Award for fiscal year 2014. The grant presentation is set for 10 a.m. at the fire department at 15 E. State St.
