Insulation doesn't insulate man from getting arrested for drugs
YOUNGSTOWN — Police found a man hiding in a home's insulation while serving a search warrant investigating drug activity about 5 p.m. Wednesday at a 617 W. Ravenwood Ave. home.
Police found Roderick Jackson, 29, hiding in cubbyhole while searching his home.
Police found three bags of "cut," or a substance used to augment doses of drugs.
Officers also found two scales, a bag of crack cocaine, a bag of marijuana, and a magazine filled with .380-caliber ammunition.
Reports also said a pit bull was in the basement and the Mahoning County Dog Warden was called.
The dog was confined to the basement and the dog warden filed an animal cruelty charge against Jackson, but reports gave no details on that charge.
City police charged Jackson with possession of drug paraphernalia and took him into custody on a warrant from municipal court for failure to appear.
