Vision Center moves
BOARDMAN
Akron Children’s Hospital’s Vision Center has moved to a larger, dedicated ophthalmology space on the Akron Children’s Mahoning Valley Beeghly campus.
The Vision Center, which diagnoses and treats eye diseases and disorders in newborns to teens, is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday in Room C1100 in Building C. The center relocated from the Boardman Medical Pavilion adjacent to St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital.
“Our new center will include two exam rooms, two testing rooms and additional space, allowing us to perform certain types of diagnostic tests that we currently send patient families to Akron to have done. We’ll be able to do nearly every test and procedure locally. In addition, we’ll offer expanded full-time hours throughout the week by our dedicated, trained ophthalmology staff,” said Dr. Richard Hertle, director of pediatric ophthalmology and Akron Children’s Vision Center.
