Struthers traffic stops lead to drug charges

A traffic stop Monday afternoon led to an arrest for possession of drugs and driving under suspension. Police stopped Steven Dejesus, 32, of Youngstown at Lincoln Avenue and Seventh Street and found 18.9 grams of suspected marijuana, according to a police report. Dejesus will be arraigned Friday in Struthers Municipal Court.

A traffic stop Saturday evening at Elm Street and Grandview Avenue led to two drug-related arrests. Police arrested Joel Miller, 20, of Poland for possession of drugs, drug paraphernalia and driving under suspension and Grace Christopher, 19, of Poland for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. A police report states that officers found rolling papers, a "small amount" of suspected marijuana and a mason jar with suspected marijuana residue in the vehicle. Miller and Christopher will be arraigned Wednesday in Struthers Municipal Court.
