Alexa Lovas and Daniel Jones were united in marriage during an afternoon ceremony Aug. 9, 2014, at Woodland Park United Methodist Church.

The Rev. Carla Davies officiated, and a reception followed at The Grand Pavilion at the Magnuson Grand Hotel in Warren.

After a honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple reside in Mineral Ridge.

The bride, a daughter of George and Shawn Lovas of McDonald, wore an ivory ball gown fashioned with a sweetheart neckline and crystal-beaded Venice lace over ruffled organza.

Her sister Alena Lovas served as maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Olivia Lovas, another sister of the bride; Heather Bulford, the bride’s cousin; and Jenna Golden.

The groom’s cousin, Leah Brown, was the flower girl. Attendants wore teal- colored dresses.

The groom is the son of Jerome Jones of McDonald and Barbara Jones of Youngstown. His best man was Corey Maley, and groomsmen were Joshua Sweet, Patrick Divoky and Gregory Dzurinda. The ring bearer was Jacob Merrill, the groom’s cousin.

Serving as ushers were Jimmie Billock and Chris Dickson.

Mrs. Jones is attending Ball State University for a master’s degree in applied behavior analysis.

Mr. Jones graduated from Northeast Ohio Medical University with a doctor of pharmacy degree. He is employed by Walmart in Akron as a pharmacist.
