Patrol award
Benjamin M. Barnard of the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Warren post, was a recipient of the OSHP’s second-quarter Criminal Patrol award and received a certificate and uniform ribbon.
The recipients were honored at a ceremony at the patrol’s training academy.
The Criminal Patrol Award is for excellence in felony enforcement and is given annually to those who open at least 12 felony cases.
DOCTORS
Osteopathic medicine
George Yakubek has earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.
He is the son of Nancy Yakubek of Howland and Ashley Yakubek of Cortland.
Dr. Yakubek graduated from Warren G. Harding High School and earned a bachelor of science degree in biology and pre-medicine from Kent State University.
He will complete his postdoctoral internship at St. James Franciscan Health in Chicago, where he will pursue an orthopaedic-surgery residency.
