Above, Nickel Plate Road No. 765, a 71-year-old steam powered locomotive, makes it way down the Norfolk Southern Railroad on Saturday in Youngstown before traveling to Ashtabula. No. 765’s last excursion that originated in Youngstown was in 1986 when it went to Pittsburgh. At right, a passenger waves to onlookers gathered at the railroad crossing on state Route 304 in Hubbard.
