Abundant Life Fellowship plans August Overflow

For the seventh-consecutive year, Abundant Life Fellowship, 46469 state Route 46, will distribute school supplies, clothing and fresh produce, serving grilled food and offering bounce houses and other children’s games during August Overflow on Saturday.

All events start at noon and run until 4 p.m.

The school-supply distribution is specifically for students in Crestview, Columbiana, Leetonia, East Palestine, Lisbon, Beaver Local districts, Heartland Christian School, home-schooled students in those districts, and members of the six churches in Crestview district.

To receive school supplies, recipients must bring a report card from the previous school year and/or a driver’s license or document showing proof of residency in one of those districts. Supplies are distributed on a first-come basis; there is no registration.

The church will provide food and other side dishes. Fresh produce will be from Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley. Also provided throughout the day will be prayer for anyone needing ministry for specific needs.

Donations of good, clean children’s clothing will be accepted at the church or office now through Wednesday. The office is open from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

Donations of school supplies also will be accepted at the church and several area Home Savings branches in the county.

After cleanup, the day will conclude with a brief worship service that will start about 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary.

A separate car show, Cruise Against Hunger, is scheduled for Aug. 16 at the church and will be a fundraiser for the 4C’s Food Pantry operated out of the church offices.

Agency sponsors for August Overflow include Columbiana Community Foundation, The Way Station and Second Harvest Food Bank.
