Miss Sjodin, Mr. Hancharenko plan Oct. rites

The parents of Emily E. Sjodin and Martin T. Hancharenko Jr., both of Minnetonka, Minn., are announcing the couple’s engagement.

The couple plan to exchange vows in an Oct. 3 ceremony that begins at 3 p.m. at the Basilica of St. Mary in Minneapolis. A reception will follow at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minn. Invitations are being extended for both events.

The bride-elect graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in political science. She is a technology campus recruiter for Target Corp. in Minneapolis.

The prospective groom graduated from Miami University with a bachelor’s degree in engineering and from the University of Minnesota with a master’s in business administration. He is a production manager for CertainTeed Corp. of Shakopee, Minn.

Miss Sjodin is the daughter of Daniel and Cynthia Sjodin of Fridley, Minn., and Mr. Hancharenko is the son of Martin T. Sr. and Camille Hancharenko of Cortland.
