Community event featuring adoptable pets, food vendors, demonstrations

CANFIELD

A third annual Adopt A Palooza event is planned for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 16 in the parking lot of StoneFruit Coffee Co. and Trailside Bicycle Co., 410 W. Main St.

Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC has partnered with local companies, StoneFruit Coffee and Trailside Bicycle, to accommodate the growing popularity of the event.

Adopt A Palooza is a community event featuring adoptable pets, food vendors, demonstrations and more. StoneFruit will donate a portion of sales of its “Franklin & Friends” roast and Trailside Bicycle will donate 10 percent of its accessories sales the day of the event to the participating shelters.

“We love putting on this event every year and raising awareness for pet adoption in the valley. It’s very rewarding to have the opportunity to grow this event while working with two great local companies who also demonstrate a commitment to the Valley,” said Christopher Anderson, social media director for Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC.

Jennifer Rodway, marketing director for StoneFruit Coffee, said it chose to participate because “our company has always been very focused on community and giving back. Our entire staff are animal lovers so we were more than excited for the opportunity to help local rescue efforts.”

There are a limited number of spots still remaining to rescues. If a rescue is interested in participating, contact Anderson at canderson@sweeneycars.com or call 330-726-5679.
