Warren Streetscape cleanup in the city's downtown is Saturday


WARREN — Warren Streetscape 2015 “Clean. Help. Grow” will be from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday in the city’s downtown. Volunteers will meet at the amphitheater between 7:30 and 8 a.m.

Volunteers will beautify the downtown landscape by removing debris, trimming, planting flowers and shrubs and mulching planted areas.

Focus areas include the surrounding streets of downtown Warren, Perkins Park, and Dave Grohl’s Alley.

Businesses supporting the event include Trumbull 100, The Saratoga Restaurant, Paige & Byrnes Insurance, National Fire and Water Repair, St. Joseph Warren Hospital, HBK CPAs and Consultants, VEC inc., Diane Sauer Chevrolet, The Trumbull County Tourism Bureau and North Coast Fire protection.

In the event of inclement weather, landscaping will be conducted from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday.

An estimated 150 volunteers will participate. Volunteers are still needed. Workers will be treated to a light breakfast and a full lunch.
