Woman sentenced to 50 days in jail for chain-reaction crash in Warren
WARREN — Chelsie N. Spelich, who took her mother’s car July 7 and crashed it into stopped traffic in Warren, injuring herself and two other people, has been sentenced to 50 more days in the Trumbull County Jail.
Spelich pleaded guilty or no contest to four charges Tuesday in Warren Municipal Court – driving under the influence of alcohol and or drugs, hit skip/leaving the scene of an accident, possessing drug paraphernalia and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
She will also serve five years’ probation after her jail term.
Charges of failing to maintain assured clear distance, driving without a license and a seat-belt violation were dismissed.
