Youngstown woman faces theft charge

HUBBARD — Police filed a warrant today for the arrest of Jasmine Smith, 20, of Youngstown, for theft.

According to a police report, Smith attempted to cash a $990 handwritten check from Downtown Coffee Cafe on North Main Street in Hubbard at Check Smart on Gypsy Lane on June 27.

The Downtown Coffee Cafe bookkeeper said the check was forged, and Smith did not work for the business.
