More than 46,000 attend Trumbull County Fair

BAZETTA — Attendance at last week’s Trumbull County Fair was 46,300, not counting several thousand weekly passes, memberships and 4-H members.

That is down a bit from the 48,700 in 2014, said Brenda Richman, financial secretary for the Trumbull County Fair Board.

This year’s fair had mostly dry weather, but buses were running between the fairgrounds and Trumbull Career and Technical Center in Champion to provide a parking alternative after a hard rain Tuesday.

People don’t realize how much hot weather, like what occurred Saturday and Sunday, reduces attendance, Richman said.
