Vincent L. Dundorf, 23, of Iddings Avenue in Warren, pleaded not guilty Monday in Niles Municipal Court to aggravated menacing after police say he threatened a fellow moviegoer at Regal Cinema at the Eastwood Mall complex with a gun that later turned out to be a BB gun.

Dundorf and the other man exchanged words inside the theater regarding talking during the movie, which led to the altercation in the parking lot at 1:22 a.m. Monday, Niles police said.

After Dundorf purportedly threatened the victim and his girlfriend with the gun, the victim followed Dundorf while on the phone with 911 and gave police a description of Dundorf’s car, police said.

Police stopped Dundorf’s car and discovered the gun inside. It was a replica Smith & Wesson BB handgun with the safety features removed, police said.

Dundorf was released from the Trumbull County jail Monday after his court hearing.

His bond was a personal recognizance bond, meaning he didn’t have to pay anything.
