Warren standoff ends without incident

WARREN — The standoff with a man on Southern Boulevard Southwest ended peacefully at about 8:55 p.m. tonight with a large neighborhood crowd cheering as the man walked with police to the street to be taken into custody.

The man was reportedly despondent over the cancellation of his wedding in a week and fired gunshots about 5 p.m., Warren police said.

The Mahoning Valley Crisis Response Team responded. The man came out a short time after a woman could be heard telling the man, "Let me tell you what happened."
