OCA meeting is Aug. 3 in Youngstown

The Ohio Cultural Alliance will host its next meeting at 6 p.m. Aug. 3 at Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church Hall, 54 Laird Ave., and feature Barbara Krauss.

Krauss will address “Going Places with the Ohio Cultural Alliance: Paris.” She has a long history as a WYSU host of classical music at Youngstown State University, and she has conducted tours around the world.

Classical guitarists Steve Papas and Tony Valenzisi of String Theory Duo will provide music. The meal will be prepared by the Serbian Ladies Guild.

This month’s recipient of the community project is the Dorothy Day House. Participants are asked to bring men’s socks.

The membership fee remains at $25 per person for the entire 14-month schedule. The cost for each meeting is $15 for paid members and $20 for nonmembers. Reservations are required by July 29.
