Man faces menancing charges after post-movie confrontation
NILES — Vincent L. Dundorf, 23, of Iddings Avenue in Warren, pleaded not guilty today in Niles Municipal Court to aggravated menacing after police say he threatened a patron of Regal Cinema in the Eastwood Mall complex with a gun that was later determined to be BB gun.
Dundorf and the other man exchanged words inside the theater regarding talking during the movie, which led to the altercation in the parking lot at 1:22 a.m. today, Niles police said.
After Dundorf purportedly threatened the victim with the gun, the victim followed Dundorf while on with phone with 911 and gave police a description of Dundorf's car, police said.
Police stopped Dundorf's car and discovered the gun inside. It was a replica Smith and Wesson handgun with the safety features removed, police said.
