Co-valedictorians receive scholarships from Lions

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Leetonia High School co-valedictorians Miranda Stark and Trent Ferry each received $400 Rita Merz Memorial Scholarships from the Youngstown Lions Club at its July 9 meeting. Stark will attend Youngstown State University and major in forensic science. Ferry will attend Ohio State University and plans to become a physical therapist. The scholarship is in memory of Rita Merz, who served in the club and spent her life helping others. From left are George Kolesar, club president; Stark; Ferry; and Diane Hardenbrook, club treasurer.
