Board OKs Greenwood Chevrolet Austintown Falcon Stadium deal

AUSTINTOWN — Falcon Stadium will now be known as Greenwood Chevrolet Austintown Falcon Stadium after an unanimous vote tonight.

Larry Jaeger, president of Hunter Sports Marketing of Cleveland, negotiated the name sponsorship. It is a 10-year deal worth $330,000, with half of that paid upon the signed agreement and the other half, $165,000, in five years.

The contract runs through June 30, 2025.

The sponsorship will include eight-yard long advertisements to be most likely painted on the field on opposite 20-yard lines, a sign or banner on the back of the grandstand to coincide with the current paint there now and the availability of a corner of an endzone for a car to be displayed during games.

Jaeger will receive 15 percent of the total $330,000 deal as compensation.

The funds will go toward paying for the signage for Greenwood Chevrolet and other items and then the rest of the funds will be given to the athletic department and some of those funds will be given to the field turf fund.
