2 women arrested for felonious assault Sunday

YOUNGSTOWN — Police arrested two women Sunday on charges of felonious assault in separate incidents.

Cherie Moore, 36, of East Boston Avenue, was arrested about 12:20 p.m. at her home after a woman told police Moore hit her in the head several times with a wine bottle. The woman was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital for treatment.

About 10:15 p.m., Diane Bannister, 23, was arrested at her home after reports said she ran her husband over with her car while they were arguing.

Reports said Bannister told police she was trying to leave and her husband ran in front of the car before she could stop. Witnesses told police it looked the car made no attempt to stop, reports said.
