NEOMED graduate
John C. Lisko III of Canfield has earned his doctor of medicine degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown. He was the 2015 recipient of the NEOMED/College of Medicine Award for Excellence in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Lisko is a 2008 honors graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School, and he graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from Youngstown State University in 2010. He also attained his master’s degree in public health while completing his medical-school requirements.
He was inducted into Delta Omega Society of Public Health and was the recipient of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology Young Investigators Award in 2013.
Dr. Lisko began his residency in internal medicine at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta.
He is the son of John and Dr. Susan Lisko of Canfield and the grandson of the late Donald and Betty Martinko and the late John and Midge Lisko.
LAWYERS
Admitted to Mass. bar
Margaret Wilson Reis, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Keith Wilson of Canfield, was admitted to the Massachusetts bar in a formal ceremony at Faneuil Hall in Boston in June. She also is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
She graduated in May 2014 from Harvard Law School in Cambridge, Mass., and practices law in the financial-services department at Dechert Law Firm in Boston.
HONORS
USPS safe drivers
Warren letter carriers Joyce Baillie, Dale Laginya, Dave Ditchey, George Woitek and James Villio are among more than 9,400 U.S. Postal Service employees who individually have driven more than a million accident-free miles.
They were honored for that distinction at a ceremony last week at the Warren Post Office on High Street Northeast.
“Safe driving is no accident,” said Postmaster Timothy Needham. “The safety of our employees is our top priority, and we are proud that our comprehensive safe-driver training program is second to none.”
