YOUNGSTOWN

Friends of Fellows Riverside Gardens will host its annual fundraiser, The Summer Garden Party, from 6:30 to 10 p.m. July 31 at the gardens, 123 McKinley Ave.

The event committee is planning an evening of candlelight. Saratoga, Cater 2 U and Friends Specialty at the Garden Cafe will provide a fresh summer dining experience. Geo C. and Tha Storm will perform.

Tickets are $75 per person or $125 for reserved seating and can be purchased at the Davis Education Center at the Gardens or by calling 330-740-7116.

All proceeds will benefit Friends of Fellows Riverside Gardens.

FFRG is dedicated to the preservation and improvement of the gardens as a cultural, educational and aesthetic center. Its goals include inspiring discovery and enjoyment of the gardens with educational programs and garden improvements.

Elizabeth Fellows donated 12 acres, her family homestead and personal assets to create a place for all to enjoy. Youngstown and area communities have been able to enjoy the garden’s beauty and peaceful atmosphere for more than 50 years.
