Music in Morning program at church

YOUNGSTOWN

Michael Nichols, a keyboard performance major at Youngstown State University Dana School of Music, will perform at 10 a.m. Saturday at Faith Community Covenant Church, 1919 E. Midlothian Blvd., at the corner of Sheridan Road.

The performance is part of the Music in the Morning program fof the William Holmes McGuffey Historical Society.

Admission is free, but an offering will be accepted.

There will be a raffle to benefit the society.

Nichols is a 2012 graduate of Chaney Academy. His program will include works by Liszt, Beethoven and Ravel.

Hungarian picnic

HIRAM

The Hungarian Cultural Center of Northeastern Ohio’s second annual summer picnic and car show will be Sunday at the club grounds, 12027 Abbott Road.

Gates open at noon. Admission is $5 (free for children under 12).

Hungarian foods, including stuffed cabbage, pork slices, Hungarian sausage, potatoes, langos, bacon fry, gulyas and pastries will be sold.

Music will be provided by Roy and the Hungarians.

Dance lessons

YOUNGSTOWN

USA Dance will present country two-step dance lessons and general dancing Sunday at the Orthodox Center, 1025 N. Belle Vista Ave.

The evening will begin at 5 p.m. with basics for beginners, followed by the lessons at 5:30 p.m.

Admission is $10 ($5 for members; $2.50 for students).
