A summary of recent criminal activity in Poland and Boardman townships:

POLAND

July 11

Drugs: Police took Matthew B. Tinney into custody at his Edgewater Drive residence. The 25-year-old Poland man was wanted on charges of possession of drugs and drug-abuse instruments.

BOARDMAN

July 8

Domestic violence: Authorities picked up 39-year-old Michael D. McCullough at the Summit County jail. The Akron man was wanted on a warrant after his former girlfriend, of Indianola Road, alleged he had sent her 39 unwanted voicemail messages and several text messages, including an implied threat that he could shoot her, causing the accuser to fear for her safety.

Theft: Zuheily A. Rosado-Cruz, 24, and Maritz Cruz Rodriguez, 42, both of Monroe Street, Campbell, were charged with stealing about $200 worth of clothing from Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Assault: Officers received information that a client at an East Western Reserve Road facility for those with special needs had been struck in the right arm, though not injured.

Attempted theft: Someone reportedly tried to enter a vehicle in the 8100 block of Tod Avenue.

Menacing: An employee with a Youngstown-Poland Road counseling center alleged a co-worker had threatened to harm the accuser before being terminated.

Child endangerment: Authorities responded to a complaint of a 4-year-old child being left alone at an Appleridge Circle residence before charging Kaylie A. Erhart, 28, of Appleridge, Boardman, with one misdemeanor count of endangering children. Erhart admitted having gone out, saying that a relative was supposed to watch the boy, and Mahoning County Children Services Board was notified, a police report showed.

July 9

Auto theft: Police arrested 30-year-old Jeremy J. Everhart of Oregon Trail, Boardman, on one count of theft of a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony, after a clerk with a Market Street doctor’s office had reported her 2009 Chevrolet vehicle stolen June 2 while at work.

Theft: Briana S. Schaffer, 24, of West Ravenwood Avenue, Youngstown, was charged in the theft of $78 worth of property, including cigarette lighters, from Walmart.

Aggravated menacing: A man at his daughter’s Lockwood Boulevard home told police someone in a red Volkswagen threatened to kill him and sexually assault the accuser’s wife.

Theft: Charlette D. Bradley, 48, surrendered on a felony-theft charge. Bradley, of Robinwood Avenue, Youngstown, was accused of stealing a Canfield woman’s wallet June 5 at Southern Park Mall.

Breaking and entering: Someone entered a vacant residence in the 200 block of Indianola Road and did $600 in damage to the front door’s frame and assembly.

Theft: Officers charged Ny’asia L. Smith, 18, of New Road, Austintown, along with a 17-year-old Austintown girl, with taking roughly $716 worth of clothing from Macy’s in Southern Park Mall.

Criminal mischief: Someone fired paint balls at a residence in the 800 block of Mayfield Drive.

Misuse of a credit card: An employee with a Southern Park Mall jewelry store reported a man was approved for a $10,000 credit-card account and that he bought $6,435 worth of merchandise after having provided false and misleading information.

Theft: A man in his mid- to late 40s reportedly stole two $170 eyeglass frames from Eye Catchers Optical, 8004 South Ave.

Identity theft: A Mere Court woman reported having received a bill from a phone company claiming she owes more than $389, even though she never used the business as her carrier.

Aggravated menacing: A worker for a bank in a Doral Drive big-box store told authorities an irate man threatened to harm him during an argument related to cashing a check.

Harassment: A woman staying at a Melrose Avenue home said her former boyfriend made and sent her unwanted calls and text messages.

Criminal mischief: Someone shot a paint ball at a residence in the 600 block of Saddlebrook Drive, striking a window and doing an estimated $500 in damage.

July 10

Arrest: Authorities phone booked 25-year-old Courtney A. Cobb of Market Street, Youngstown, on a charge of obstructing official business. After having been arrested at a Market Street motel on a warrant, Cobb used someone else’s identity during the booking process, police alleged.

Theft: The owner of a South Avenue auto-sales business alleged an employee had stolen about $850 during two sales transactions.

Theft: An employee with Sweeney Buick, 7997 Market St., told police someone has been stealing scrap metal from a business-owned trash bin. Four vehicle rotors were found in the area, a report stated.

Menacing: A Salinas Trail man reported a neighbor, 15, has made a series of inappropriate comments toward him. The teen also has left such notes on his vehicle and at the accuser’s residence, a report showed.

Theft: The owner of a U.S. Route 224 massotherapy business discovered an envelope containing an undisclosed sum of money was missing.

Identity fraud: A Baymar Drive man reported getting a letter stating his credit-card rewards account with more than $700 in charges was being suspended, even though he had never applied for such an account.

Theft: Various items were removed from a car at a Crossroads Drive business.

Theft: Officers charged 42-year-old Felicia I. Wallace with theft after alleging Wallace, of Glenwood Avenue, Boardman, had stolen about $70 worth of groceries from Marc’s, 7121 Tiffany Blvd.

Burglary: Someone apparently used a key to enter a residence in the 5300 block of Sheridan Road via the front door. Approximately $33 and collectible-coin sets were taken.

Citation: A traffic stop near Shields Road resulted in minor-misdemeanor citations charging Jonathan J. Hilson (ok, not Hilton), 25, of Golfview Drive, Boardman, with marijuana possession and driving under suspension.

Vandalism: A mailbox and its housing were damaged, possibly by a firecracker, in the 1300 block of Fox Run Drive.

Menacing: A Cascade Drive woman said she received the latest in a series of unwanted Facebook messages.

Theft: Authorities picked up 25-year-old David J. Shoenfelt II at the Portage County jail. The Massillon man was accused of stealing a $130 Xbox hard drive in July 2014 from Target, 417 Boardman-Poland Road.

Theft: Struthers police handed to Boardman authorities 47-year-old Ronald E. Aiosa, who was wanted on a theft charge. Aiosa, who listed addresses on Market Street in Boardman and Mount Vernon Avenue in Youngstown, was accused of stealing a $100 car battery from Walmart.

Menacing: A Mathews Road woman told officers a man threatened to beat her up and implied she could be killed after she had asked the man and his wife to leave her residence.

July 11

Robbery: Two workers for a Southern Park Mall business told authorities that two gunmen with hoods pulled up around their faces sneaked up and demanded money and their cellphones shortly after they had left work and were in a secluded outdoor area of the mall. The robbers then fled on foot.

Theft: A woman stole $40 worth of merchandise from Family Dollar, 4026 South Ave.

Theft: A Campbell woman noticed her $600 iPhone missing while at a Doral Drive big-box store.

Assault: An Ellwood City, Pa., man told police he was punched in the mouth while at a home in the 20 block of Shadyside Drive. He had a minor cut to his lip.

Criminal damaging: An outdoor water spigot sustained $100 in damage at a condominium building in the 800 block of Pearson Circle.

July 12

Animal cruelty: Someone in a sport utility vehicle reportedly intentionally ran over five Canada geese near a retention pond behind Walmart.

Theft: Two flower pots were missing from a yard in the 100 block of Melrose Avenue.

Domestic violence: Scott G. Dattilo, 31, of Market Street, Boardman, surrendered after his girlfriend alleged that during an argument about use of her vehicle, Dattilo had spit in her face, then jumped on and wrestled with the accuser in an effort to grab the keys.

Theft: Three women purportedly stole $120 worth of jewelry and cosmetics from Walmart.

Theft: A man stole a $20 pair of men’s shoes from Walmart.

Domestic violence: Jennifer L. Roupe, 41, of Salinas Trail, Boardman, faced domestic-violence and felonious-assault charges after her husband alleged that during an argument about their relationship, Roupe had made a swiping motion toward him with a knife and tossed a small saw at the accuser, striking his face. The man suffered a cut above his right eye and had blood on his clothing, a report said.

Harassment: A Sugartree Drive man said he’s received the latest in a series of such Facebook posts.

Theft: A man who had found his lost or stolen wallet near Maple Drive noticed three credit cards missing.

Theft: George A. Buchanan, 45, of East Midlothian Boulevard, Youngstown, was charged with taking $37 worth of merchandise, including a tube of ointment, from Walmart.
