Outgoing Youngstown Lions Club president Adam Costello handed over the gavel to incoming president George Kolesar at the Installation Luncheon on June 25 at the Upstairs Restaurant in Austintown.

Bob Booher, former district governor, was on hand for the ceremony. Booher installed the new officers and directors in a candle-lit ceremony.

Nicole Evanski of Lane Funeral Homes was inducted into the club as the newest member.

New member and Mahoning County Common Pleas Court Judge Shirley Christian was not able to attend the induction.

Ed Brant received the Melvin Jones Award — one of the highest awards in Lionism. Brant has been a Lion for 41 years serving as Santa at the annual Christmas Party for developmentally disabled children.
