Knife-wielding man robs Brookfield store

Police are searching for a man who robbed a Dollar General at knife point Thursday afternoon, according to Vindicator broadcast partner 21 WFMJ-TV.

The call came in at 2 p.m. that a robbery was happening inside the discount store on Warren-Sharon Road. Police said the suspect brandished a large knife and demanded the store manager turn over an unspecified amount of money from the register.

No was injured during the incident.

The suspect headed east on the same street in a light blue- or gray-colored vehicle. He was wearing a black hooded jacket with a green cloth covering his face. He is described as a dark-skinned male, possibly Hispanic, about 5 feet and 8 inches tall and weighing about 170 to 190 pounds.
