Youngstown cops find drugs in traffic stop

YOUNGSTOWN

Police found marijuana, crack cocaine and marijuana in a car they pulled over about 7 p.m. Wednesday at Overland and Chambers avenues.

Reports said officer Mohammad Awad pulled over the car driven by Rockdale Bailey, 28, of Brentwood Avenue, because of a large cluster of items hanging from the rear view mirror which turned out to be seven air fresheners.

After a records check revealed Bailey has a suspended license and was being taken into custody, he told police he had marijuana, reports said.

Reports said Bailey had a bag of heroin and a bag of marijuana in his pockets. Reports said a bag of crack cocaine also fell out of his pants and Bailey told police, "I use that," reports said.

Bailey was taken to the Mahoning County jail on charges of possession of heroin, possession of crack cocaine, possession of marijuana and driving under suspension.
