Man injured in accident at YSU

YOUNGSTOWN — A 31-year-old construction worker fell and sustained head injuries while working with a crew on the bleachers in Stambaugh Stadium this afternoon, according to Youngstown State University police.

Police say the man, who works for Advanced Restoration Contractors, based in Indianapolis, was walking between rows of concrete bleachers near the top of the stadium when he fell. The accident happened at 12:27 p.m.

Co-workers came to his aid and called 911, police said. The man was transported by ambulance to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

There was no report on his condition tonight.
